Kumar Sangakkara and Tillakaratne Dilshan smashed unbeaten centuries on Tuesday to guide Sri Lanka to 1-230 and a 162-run lead in their second innings at lunch on the fifth day of the first Test against Bangladesh on Tuesday.
Sangakkara, who scored 142 in the first innings, become just the fifth Sri Lankan to make centuries in both innings of a Test match.
He also has the record for most Test hundreds by a Sri Lankan, overtaking former captain Mahela Jayawardene.
Dilshan was the first to three figures on Tuesday when he turned Elias Sunny to square leg for a single.
The pair batted through the morning session putting on a second-wicket partnership of 213 runs, a record in Tests between the two countries.
