South Africa win toss, bowl against NZ

South Africa captain AB de Villiers won the toss and sent New Zealand in to bat in the second Twenty20 international at Seddon Park on Sunday.

South Africa, who trail 1-0 in the three-match series after a six-wicket defeat in Wellington on Friday, will need to contain New Zealand opener Martin Guptill, who is in red-hot form with six consecutive international 50s.

The Proteas have brought in pacemen Wayne Parnell and Marchant de Lange to give firepower to an attack that did not look threatening in Wellington, while New Zealand’s team is unchanged.

Teams:

New Zealand: Rob Nicol, Martin Guptill, Brendon McCullum (capt), Kane Williamson, James Franklin, Colin de Grandhomme, Nathan McCullum, Doug Bracewell, Kyle Mills, Roneel Hira, Tim Southee, Andrew Ellis (12th man)

South Africa: Richard Levi, Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers (capt), JP Duminy, Justin Ontong, Albie Morkel, Johan Botha, Marchant de Lange, Wayne Parnell, Morne Morkel, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Robin Peterson (12th man)
