SA unchanged for one-dayer against Bulls

South Australian cricket coach Darren Berry has kept the faith in his one-day outfit, despite admitting they blew a match they should have won last weekend.

The Redbacks have named an unchanged side for Sunday’s 50-over game against Queensland at Adelaide Oval.

Berry says the players involved in Sunday’s three-run loss to Tasmania deserved a chance to atone.

The Redbacks fell short of their middling target of 222 against the Tigers.

“We felt that it was a match we should have won last week,” Berry said on Friday.

“And the same group of players are really determined to get our first win on the board.

“There is no need yet in this format to make changes after just one game – I’m confident this side will produce the result on Sunday.”

The Bulls have recalled paceman Luke Feldman for the day-night fixture, the fast bowler’s first one-dayer for Queensland in more than a year.

Queensland, who lost their one-day series opener against Victoria, also surprised by naming Brad Ipson, despite the spinner not being in the Bulls’ squad of contracted players.

The Bulls dropped Michael Neser after he conceded 70 runs in nine wicketless overs against Victoria and also omitted Cameron Gannon, who was 12th man last weekend.
