SA all out 126 against Tasmania in Shield

Tasmanian pacemen Jackson Bird and James Faulkner took four wickets each as South Australia were bowled out for 126 in the Sheffield Shield match in Adelaide.

After the opening day was washed out, the Redbacks lasted less than 50 overs on Thursday after winning the toss.

Opener Tom Stray (51) scored his maiden first-class half-century but no other batsman passed 25 – the last eight in the batting order failed to reach double figures.

Faulkner took 4-22 from 13 overs and Bird finished with 4-48, with fellow quick Luke Butterworth taking the other two wickets.

The Redbacks crashed spectacularly after lunch on day two, losing their final seven wickets for just 15 runs.

Tasmania (28 points) entered the fixture just four points behind Shield leaders Western Australia and two points shy of second-placed Queensland.
