Rose switches to Hurricanes for BBL

Spinner Clive Rose has signed with the Hobart Hurricanes, making a switch from the Melbourne Stars for the 2016 Big Bash League season.

Rose, 25, who plays Shield for Tasmania, was on Tuesday named among the latest trio of signings which included the return of batsman Michael Hill and allrounder Timm van der Gugten.

“The (Hurricanes) squad coming together is looking really strong and I can’t wait to be around experienced international players like Darren Sammy and Kumar Sangakkara,” Rose said.

Australian allrounder George Bailey announced earlier in June that he will be back in purple for another two years.

The Hurricanes are expected to announce further signings in coming weeks.
