Rain has delayed the start of play in Australia’s two-day tour match at Northampton against the England Lions on Friday.
The covers are on, however the forecast predicts rain will clear by the early afternoon.
The match is glorified batting practice for Australia ahead of next week’s fifth Ashes Test against England at The Oval.
Shane Watson will captain the side, with Michael Clarke out rested.
The match has been reduced from 100 to 75 overs for each side, with the toss yet to take place.
