Officials are hoping for an early afternoon start to the PM’s XI one-day cricket match against Sri Lanka after a morning of drizzling rain.
The match, pitting Brad Haddin’s young squad against Mahela Jayawardene’s national side, was due to begin at 10am (AEDT) on Friday at Canberra’s Manuka Oval.
But light rain has continued to fall, pushing back the earliest start time to 2pm.
The latest it can start is 3pm before the match is called off.
