Queensland will resume well-placed at 2-135 on day two of their Sheffield Shield clash with Tasmania, but the team is expecting conditions to toughen.
On a fresh Bellerive deck the home side collapsed to be all out for 149 on Monday, bringing Queensland to the middle in a controlling position.
But Tuesday might prove more challenging for the visiting batsmen as the pitch dries, according to interim Bulls coach Justin Sternes.
“Any remaining moisture has come out of the pitch now,” he said.
“That will make it tough for us batting from here on in because the bowlers are already starting to find some reverse swing.”
Opener Charlie Hemphrey (47 not out) is closing in on his half century, and will resume for Queensland on Tuesday along with Chris Lynn (5 no).
