Qld all out for 360 v Tas

Queensland will take a commanding lead into the second innings of the Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania at Bellerive.

The Bulls have been bowled out for 360, a lead of 265 after the Tigers made just 95 in their first dig.

Tasmanian left-armer James Faulkner finished with 4-98 as he and Luke Butterworth eventually mopped up Queensland’s big-hitting tail early on day three.

The Bulls’ innings was anchored by a classy hundred from former Test batsman Usman Khawaja (138), while late hitting from Ben Cutting (40 off 30 balls) and Nathan Hauritz (27 off 23) took the game away from Tasmania.

Faulkner removed Cameron Gannon (11) on Sunday morning to a diving catch from Ben Dunk at cover.

Hauritz accelerated from his overnight score of four with five boundaries before Luke Feldman, who smashed three fours of his own, was caught and bowled by Butterworth.

Tasmania will bat in the best conditions of the match so far, with blue skies and 22 degrees forecast for Hobart.

Skipper George Bailey has warned his players they need to find some fight or changes will be made as the Tigers’ season hangs in the balance.
