Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting has been withdrawn from the Sheffield Shield match between Tasmania and South Australia with hamstring soreness.
Cricket Australia says it has pulled Ponting from the Bellerive clash as a precaution.
The 37-year-old spent most of a cold day fielding in the slips for the Tigers on Thursday.
He batted late in the day and made just five runs.
