A direct path straight through to the final is on offer for the winner of Saturday’s Qualifier.

The Scorchers and Sixers have been the top two sides in the competition all year, and this should be an outstanding match between last year’s finalists.

For the record, the Scorchers have won their two meetings against the Sixers this season, making it no surprise to find Perth slightly favoured in the market.

Of course, the Sixers have only gotten stronger with the likes of Nathan Lyon joining the side, while the play from Moises Henriques and Josh Philippe with the bat has been stunning to watch.

The Scorchers have plenty of stars in their own right though, namely sixth-leading run scorer Colin Munro, and third-leading wicket-taker, Andrew Tye.

Both will be instrumental for Perth on Saturday night, just like they were in a six-wicket win over the Heat earlier in the week.

Betting on this game is tough, but I do think the Scorchers are the team to back given Jhye Richardson and Laurie Evans are both a strong chance at returning to the side.

Perth’s form slipped a little with a few players forced to miss out due to COVID, but their play beforehand was nothing short of dominant.

If Scorchers coach Adam Voges can somehow find a way to include Matt Kelly in the side, I think Perth will be tough to beat.
