Pakistan collapse in 2nd Test v Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe took five wickets for 19 runs after lunch to rip through Pakistan and bowl them out for 230, taking a 64-run first-innings lead on the third day of the second Test on Thursday.

Left-arm seamer Brian Vitori claimed five wickets to put Zimbabwe in sudden control of the last of two Tests and give the hosts a chance of saving the series. Pakistan won the opener by 221 runs.

Top scorer Younis Khan fell for 77 to Tinashe Panyangara (3-43) and Zimbabwe quickly removed the tail, with Pakistan’s last five batsmen scoring just 17 runs between them.

Vitori’s five-for was his first in Tests and came at a pivotal time for Zimbabwe, who are trying to avoid a fifth series defeat in seven since returning to tests in 2011.
