NZ sent in to bat in third Test

England have won the toss and have sent New Zealand in to bat in the third cricket Test at Eden Park.

England have made one injury-enforced change for the Test, Johnny Bairstow coming in after star batsman Kevin Pietersen was ruled out with a knee injury.

New Zealand are unchanged for the third Test in a row with seamer Doug Bracewell, despite coming through a 50-over match on Wednesday after missing the first two Tests with a foot injury, overlooked.

The series is tied at 0-0.

Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum said the team was keen to win the Test after losing deciding Twenty20 and One-Day International matches.

“England stepped up well in the previous two deciders, we went missing a little bit, so this is going to be a good challenge to us to see if we’ve progressed as a team.

“If we manage to get the result that we want after five hard days, and then you look back and say that we’ve got some fruits from the labour we’ve had to endure throughout the summer.”
