NZ all out for 230 in 2nd ODI v Sth Africa

New Zealand were all out for 230 in the 48th over in their second one-day international against South Africa at McLean Park on Wednesday.

Captain Brendon McCullum top scored with 85, Martin Guptill made 58 and bowler Tim Southee contributed a handy 28.

New Zealand collapsed from 2-163 in the 33rd over to be all out in 47.3 overs, adding only 67 runs for the last eight wickets on a placid batting wicket.

South African fast bowler Morne Morkel took 5-38 and Lonwabo Tsotsobe finished with 3-43.

Proteas captaine AB de Villirs had won the toss and elected to bowl.

Fast bowler Andy McKay and spinner Tarun Nethula were included in New Zealand’s starting 11, with Nathan McCullum named 12th man, while Doug Bracewell and Michael Bates also missed out.

Wayne Parnell was named 12th man for South Africa.

Brendon McCullum is playing his 200th one-day international, becoming only the sixth New Zealander to reach the milestone.

He also top-scored with 56 in the opening match at Wellington, which South Africa won by six wickets.
