England batsman Michael Lumb will return to Sydney to link up with the Sixers in the Big Bash League.
Lumb, who was a member of the Sixers’ squad when they won the BBL in 2011 and last month’s Champions League, will once again pull on the magenta from game four until the end of the tournament.
Lumb will replace Umar Akmal who is only available for games one to three.
The Sixers will take on archrivals the Sydney Thunder in the season opener on December 8 at the SCG.
