Michael Clarke will reportedly retire at the end of the Ashes.
News Corp Australia is reporting that Clarke’s decorated international career, which started in 2004, will end after the fifth Test at The Oval.
Earlier this week, the 34-year-old dug in his heels and vowed he had no intention of retiring after the five-Test series.
Clarke has been under increasing pressure throughout the five-Test series.
The 34-year-old has reached 25 just six times in his past 30 Test innings.
