Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke has married girlfriend Kyly Boldy at an intimate service.

Clarke, who has credited Boldy with her support as he emerged from a public break-up with Lara Bingle to assume the leadership mantle from Ricky Ponting, tweeted his joy about the occasion.

On his official Twitter account, Clarke wrote: “Happiest guy in the world. Married @KylyBoldy yesterday in front of our gorgeous families. Couldn’t be happier!”

Clarke also posted a series of photographs from the big day.

Boldy tweeted: “Luckiest Woman in the world! Married @MClarke23 on the 15th of May 2012. Greatest day of my life, so proud to be your Wife.”
