Preview:

MELBOURNE RENEGADES (2-2) ($2.00) v ADELAIDE STRIKERS (2-2) ($1.80)

The Wolf thinks that there are parallels between the recent Melbourne derby and the Striker’s last match against the Renegades. In both games the Renegades batting order began to fall apart and they found themselves 5-80 and 5/82 off about 11 overs.

The difference, and what the Strikers need to do is shut the game down when their opponent starts to crumble. The Stars’ bowlers kept the pressure on and dismissed them for under 150. The Strikers allowed the Renegades back into the game and they scored 176 and won the game.

Colin Ingram over 19.5 ($1.88)

Team of top run scorer – Adelaide Strikers ($1.72)

The Renegades are yet to have a batsman reach 50 in BBL|08 whilst the Strikers have had a score of 50+ in 3/4 of their games. The only exception was a complete batting collapse against the Scorchers in the West. The Wolf thinks that Alex Carey and Colin Ingram are in great touch with the South African breaking through for a 75 against the Thunder. The over 19.5 runs is very conservative when you consider the form the Striker’s captain is in at the moment.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Adelaide Strikers ($1.80)

The key in this game is for the Strikers bowlers to finish the job. The Renegades were 5/82 from just over 11 overs at the Adelaide Oval before Nabi and Christian batted their way to victory. In the absence of Siddle, Khan needs plenty of support if the Strikers are to get their revenge at Marvel Stadium.
