Australian captain Michael Clarke has twisted his ankle at training and is in serious doubt for Wednesday’s final one-day international against Sri Lanka in Hobart.
Cricket Australia said Clarke was undergoing treatment on the ankle and a further assessment of his fitness would be made later on Tuesday.
Sri Lanka lead the five-match series 2-1 after game four in Brisbane was washed out on Sunday.
Clarke, opening batsman David Warner and wicketkeeper Matthew Wade were all rested for the first two matches of the series against Sri Lanka.
