India favourite to beat Australia in 3rd Test

With Aussie cricket spinning further out of control, online bookmaker sportsbet is tipping team selectors will have to dig deep into the nation’s spinning ranks in order to right the ship.

Sportsbet.com.au has opened a market on which Aussie spin bowler will take the most test wickets in 2013 and while the vast majority of the country want the Sheik of Tweak to make a return, S.K. Warne donning the baggy green and letting them rip this year seems rather unlikely, priced at $201.

Another blast from the past also looks out of the question, with Greg Matthews in the market at $1501.

Offie Nathan Lyon heads the betting at $1.60, ahead of Xavier Doherty ($2.40), Glenn Maxwell ($7.50) and Fawad Ahmed ($21).

“Greg Matthews is the biggest outsider in the market at $1501 but at least he will tell us he’s a better chance than that,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.

Other notables include Ashton Agar ($51), skipper Michael Clarke ($101), left-armer Beau Casson ($151), opening batsman David Warner ($201) and red wine connoisseur Stuart MacGill ($1001)

The Aussies are at the big odds of $5.25 to win the third test against India ($1.85) and they’ve drifted further to win the Ashes later in the year, easing out to $3.40 to regain the famous urn.
