Mike Hussey has been dismissed in gut-wrenching circumstances in his last Test, caught short for 25 by a direct-hit run-out.

The 37 year-old, who will retire after the Sydney match, walked to the crease through a guard of honour set up by his Sri Lankan opponents.
When Phil Hughes departed for 87, the crowd of more than 26,420 stood and applauded Hussey’s walk to the middle.
Hussey strode through a tunnel formed by Sri Lanka and shook the hand of opposition captain Mahela Jayawardene before facing his first delivery.

Hussey was looking to go out on a high by adding to his 19 Test centuries and fans will be hoping he gets one last chance to do so as the SCG match goes on.
Australian captain Michael Clarke called Hussey through for the quick single and cursed himself as replays confirmed Hussey’s full-length dive wasn’t enough to get him into his ground.
Dimuth Karunaratne hit the stumps from short range and Hussey was on his way.
Hussey acknowledged the crowd as he approached the race at the Members’ Pavilion, raising his helmet and bat in humble appreciation.
