HOBART HURRICANES (3-0) ($1.85) v PERTH SCORCHERS (1-2) ($1.97)
Michael Klinger under 23.5 runs ($1.88)
The big question in this game is whether the Perth batsmen can make or chase a big score. The Scorchers have played three times in BBL|08 for scores of 103, 147 and 92. Perth have only batted first once this season which was in their first game against the Renegades where they made just 103. So who is going to step up for the Scorchers?
Klinger is doing absolutely nothing at the moment with scores of 2 and 3 in his last two matches and the Wolf doesn’t see him breaking that pattern in this game against an aggressive Hurricanes bowling lineup.
VALUE: Tye 2+ Wickets, Archer 2+ Wickets & Wade 25+ Runs ($6.00)
The Wolf’s Happy Hour Special for this match is built on a couple of strong bowling performances and Matthew Wade continuing his incredible batting form.
Let’s start with Wade who absolutely exploded against the Thunder with 85 off 49 which included seven 4’s and four 6’s. He is averaging 47.3 and with the Australian batting side struggling against India there is a massive chance for him to get back into the team.
Matthew Wade to hit a 6 ($2.10)
Jofra Archer has featured in the Wolf’s Happy Hour Special before and after three games he looks bound for the World Cup this year to play for England. He has taken 6 wickets so far in BBL|08 and will look to exploit a fragile Scorchers opening batting lineup that really hasn’t proven itself yet. Archer has been particularly aggressive in the opening overs, removing both openers and Glenn Maxwell against the Stars and Joss Butler against the Thunder.
Another bowler looking to make an impact is Andrew Tye who is part of a Scorchers bowling lineup that set up the win for Perth against the Strikers. Tye, Richardson, Behrendorff and Coulter-Nile have been burdened by the Scorcher’s poor batting performances this season. The Wolf thinks that Tye will find a couple of wickets in this game after taking 2/9 in his last match at home.
