Career-best batting performances from Moises Henriques and Trent Copeland lifted NSW to a healthy first innings score of 442 in the Sheffield Shield cricket match against Tasmania.
Resuming on day two at 7-302 at Bankstown Oval, Henriques (161 not out) and Copeland (55) batted through the entire morning session on Thursday.
They added 124 – a NSW Sheffield Shield eighth wicket record against Tasmania – before Copeland was dismissed just after lunch.
Henriques, who had made nine first-class fifties, almost doubled his previous best first-class score of 82, made for Australia A against Pakistan A in Townsville in 2009.
The Australian one-day and T20 representative smashed 16 fours and four sixes in his impressive 229-ball innings.
Copeland notched his second first-class half century, eclipsing his previous best of 53 against Queensland at Blacktown in the 2010-11 season.
The Blues did well to recover from 3-7, with Brad Haddin leading the way on Wednesday with 114.
Six bowlers claimed wickets for Tasmania, but only former Bankstown and NSW second XI paceman Jackson Bird (3-75) took more than one.
