Heat win toss, bat against Hobart

Brisbane Heat have won the toss and will bat in their Big Bash League Twenty20 clash with Hobart Hurricanes at the Gabba on Saturday night.

Defending champions Brisbane have retained the same 12 that downed Perth by three wickets in their opening clash last weekend, ensuring former international one-day batsman Peter Forrest again misses out.

Left arm quick Doug Bollinger has been released from the Australian Test squad to play for Hobart whose first clash against Adelaide was washed out.

Brisbane Heat: Luke Pomersbach, Craig Kieswetter, Joe Burns, Dan Christian, Chris Lynn, James Hopes (capt), Ben Cutting, Dan Vettori, Nathan Hauritz, Cameron Gannon, Alister McDermott. 12th man: Chris Sabburg.

Hobart Hurricanes: Tim Paine (capt), Ben Dunk, Shoaib Malik, Jon Wells, Owais Shah, Travis Birt, Ben Laughlin, Evan Gulbis, Ben Hilfenhaus, Xavier Doherty, Doug Bollinger. 12th man: Cameron Boyce.
