England dismissed Pakistan for 257 in their first innings inside three overs at the start of day two of the second Test at Abu Dhabi Stadium on Thursday.
Skipper Misbah-ul Haq was out for 84 as Pakistan managed to add just one run to their overnight score of 7-256.
The captain ended up as top scorer for Pakistan, while Asad Shafiq made 58.
Stuart Broad finished with 4-47 and spinner Graeme Swann took 3-52.
Pakistan lead the three-Test series 1-0.
