Clarke wins toss, Aus to bat against UAE

Michael Clarke has won the toss and opted to bat first in Australia’s World Cup warm-up clash with the United Arab Emirates in Melbourne.

Clarke is captaining Australia for the first time in two months, having recovered from hamstring surgery.

The 33-year-old is slated to open the batting alongside Aaron Finch.

It is Australia’s final tune-up for the one-day tournament, which they are co-hosting along with New Zealand.

Australia’s World Cup campaign starts on Saturday when they tackle England at the MCG.

Australia: Michael Clarke (capt), Aaron Finch, Shane Watson, Steve Smith, George Bailey, Mitch Marsh, Brad Haddin, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Johnson, Pat Cummins, Xavier Doherty
