Briggs and Buttler named in England squads

England selectors on Tuesday included uncapped Hampshire spinner Danny Briggs and Somerset batsman Jos Buttler in the squad for the one-day series against Pakistan.

Paceman Tim Bresnan returns to the 16-man squad after missing the Test series due to an elbow injury.

Pakistan recorded their first ever clean sweep against England when they won the third Test by 71 runs on Monday.

The one-day series begins from February 13 at Abu Dhabi.

Seam bowler Stuart Broad will lead England in the three Twenty20 games, which will be played after the one-day series.

Buttler made his Twenty20 debut against India last year, but is yet to play in an ODI.

Buttler and Briggs spent the winter with the England Performance Programme in India and played for the England Lions in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
