NSW’s attack is boosted by the return of former Australian Test fast bowler Doug Bollinger for Tuesday’s one-day cup match against South Australia at Sydney’s Drummoyne Oval.
Bollinger returns after missing Sunday’s impressive seven-wicket win over Victoria due to suspension for hitting a Queensland batsman with a wild throw at the stumps last week.
Focus will also be on the form of Australian opener David Warner who has blazed successive centuries to recover from a poor start to the season in style.
The Blues need to win and secure at least one bonus point, and also hope Queensland lose on Tuesday against Western Australia, if they are to claim top spot and automatic passage into Sunday’s final.
Either way, NSW will at least feature in Thursday’s preliminary final with opponents Victoria awaiting the outcome of these matches.
