Australia to bat first at MCG vs India

Australia have won the toss and will bat first in Friday’s second Twenty20 clash with India at the MCG.

The home side, who lead the two-match series one-nil, have made three changes.

Opener Aaron Finch, number three Shaun Marsh and paceman Clint McKay come into the side for Travis Birt, Dan Christian and James Faulkner.

A big crowd of over 70,000 is expected and the match is due to start in warm conditions with a temperature of around 25 degrees.

The pitch is likely to suit the batsmen and India captain MS Dhoni said he was not concerned about having to bat second on the drop-in pitch.

India reacted to Wednesday’s 31-run loss in Sydney by naming an unchanged lineup.

Teams:

Australia: George Bailey (capt), David Warner, Aaron Finch, Shaun Marsh, David Hussey, Mitchell Marsh, Matthew Wade, Brad Hogg, Brett Lee, Clint McKay, Xavier Doherty, Dan Christian (12th man).

India: MS Dhoni (capt), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravi Ashwin, Rahul Sharma, Vinay Kumar, Praveen Kumar,

Saurabh Tiwary (12th man).
