Australia had a lead of 94 runs with eight second innings wickets remaining at lunch on day four of the second Test against the West Indies in Trinidad.
At the break, brought about early due to rain, Australia were 2-40 in their second innings having taken just four balls to bowl out the Windies for 257.
David Warner (17) and Shane Watson (0) were the men out for Australia, both dismissed in Kemar Roach’s first over of the innings.
Roach (2-10), who took five wickets in the first innings, struck with his first ball in the second as Warner edged straight to Darren Bravo at first slip.
Three balls later, the Windies quick uprooted Watson’s off-stump to leave Australia 2-26.
The Windies had chances to make further inroads before the rain delay with both Ed Cowan (14no) and Ricky Ponting (8no) dropped.
Cowan hadn’t yet scored when he was put down by Darren Sammy off luckless fast bowler Fidel Edwards (0-13) while Adrian Barath couldn’t hold onto a sharp chance at bat pad from Ponting off Shane Shillingford (0-17).
Earlier, the West Indies resumed on 9-252 and Australian spinner Michael Beer took just four balls to wrap up the innings when he trapped Carlton Baugh LBW for 21.
