Aust invited to bat first in women’s T20

England captain Charlotte Edwards chose to field after winning the toss in Sunday’s women’s World Twenty20 final against Australia at Colombo’s Premadasa Stadium.

Defending champions Australia have named an unchanged side following their semi-final win over West Indies on Friday night.

England are unbeaten in the tournament including a victory over Australia in the group stage.

The match is set to start in sunny conditions on a pitch expected to be slow-paced and favouring spinners.
