Australia have named an unchanged line-up for Sunday’s fifth and final one-day international against the West Indies in St Lucia.
The tourists must win the match to avoid losing their first ODI series to the West Indies since 1995 after Friday’s 42-run defeat left them trailing 2-1.
Australia didn’t train in St Lucia on Saturday as they try to ensure they are as fresh as possible before Sunday’s crucial match.
Allrounder Dan Christian will again miss the match despite Australia’s batting appearing weakened by his absence from game four.
Chasing 295 for victory, Christian’s batting ability may have proven handy in Friday’s match as Brett Lee ran out of partners making a career-best 59.
But captain Shane Watson justified the selection, saying he felt he had the balance to secure victory.
“In hindsight I wouldn’t have done anything differently,” Watson said.
“Obviously their allrounders played a big part but that’s why you’ve got specialist players as well as allrounders, to be able to do their job.”
Sunday’s game starts at 9.30am (0030 Monday AEDT).
Australia: Shane Watson (capt), David Warner, Peter Forrest, George Bailey, Michael Hussey, David Hussey, Matthew Wade, Brett Lee, Clint McKay, Xavier Doherty, Ben Hilfenhaus, Dan Christian (12th man).
