England have blown out to $13 with TAB to win the first Ashes Test after their horror start to the series at the Gabba.
The tourists were as short as $4.50 yesterday but drifted past $5 following confirmation of Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad’s omission from the pace attack.
Australia have tightened from $1.90 to $1.20 to claim a one-nil series lead after the opening day, but the short price didn’t scare off punters with multiple large bets, including an outlay of $4,200 at $1.20.
Steve Smith ($3.25) is favourite to score the most runs in Australia’s first innings but Marnus Labuschagne ($4) is best backed with 35 percent of the TAB market.
