Rose get daily treatment with back injury

Chicago Bulls playmaker Derrick Rose will remain on day-to-day treatment for back spasms after an MRI exam on his back on Monday revealed no structural problem, an official for the NBA club said.

The 2011 NBA Most Valuable Player will continue with therapy and massage treatments while working with the team medical staff to address the spasms that have kept him out of Chicago’s past two games, Bulls general manager Gar Forman told ESPN.

“There’s nothing structurally wrong with his back. It’s muscular,” Forman said. “We will continue with his therapy, continue to get rest, and it will be day-to-day seeing how he responds to the therapy.”

Rose will return “when we feel, he feels, that he’s well enough to go back on the floor.”

The Bulls are 23-7 with the best record in the Eastern Conference and just behind Oklahoma City, 21-6, for the top mark in the 30-team league.
