Golden State Warriors head odds to win NBA Championship

The Golden State Warriors ($1.30) will head into the NBA Finals as the punters’ pick with 85 percent of money going on them to seal a three-peat of titles against the Toronto Raptors ($3.60).

“The Warriors have been the rage all season to win another NBA championship, despite some late season injuries to All-Stars Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins,” TAB’s Nick Quinn said.

This comes off the back of significant support which began when the 2018/2019 NBA winner market opened straight after the Warriors won last season’s championship. At that stage, Golden State were $2.25 and have firmed significantly to $1.30 just days away from Game 1 in Toronto.

The Raptors were $51 prior to acquiring Kawhi Leonard via a trade in mid-July and immediately firmed to $21 to win the NBA Championship.

Kevin Durant ($18) holds 50 percent of the money for the NBA Finals MVP with TAB punters placing most of those bets prior to the star straining his calf against the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference semi-finals. Steph Curry ($1.52) is the short-priced favourite with 30 percent of the current hold and the Warriors star has averaged 36 points per game since Durant’s injury.
