Worsfold moving on with Bombers job

Essendon coach John Worsfold agrees Brendon Goddard is an obvious choice to lead the besieged AFL club in 2016, but says it’s too soon to confirm the move.

The new Bombers coach has accepted the punishment of losing 12 squad members – including captain Jobe Watson and several key-position players – for the upcoming season after they fell foul of anti-doping rules.

Worsfold says the club’s recruitment efforts to replace the experienced players are already underway and he sees a great year of improvement in the young team.
