Fresh from a week off, the Bulldogs should fancy themselves a genuine chance on Sunday against a West Coast side playing on only four days’ rest.

The Eagles held on for 15-point win against the Bombers on Tuesday night – a strong result with Josh Kennedy on the sidelines.

West Coast should see their star forward return from a concussion, but they still might have their hands full against a frisky Dogs team capable of beating anyone on their day.

Luke Beveridge’s side took Geelong to the brink in their 11-point loss a fortnight ago, a performance the Dogs are sure to build on now that they’ve had a week off to set things straight.

In their last five games the Dogs have pummelled Adelaide and Melbourne and also hung tight with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Geelong.

Those form lines read well for this contest, particularly at Metricon, where the Eagles are just 1-3 this year.
