The Dogs were the better team in some areas last week against the Cats, losing by four in a game that might suggest Luke Beveridge’s side is finally starting to come into form.

Essendon was by far the biggest disappointment of the round, going down by 69 points to Port Adelaide. The Bombers had very few scoring chances and simply had no answer for Connor Rozee and the rest of Port’s run through the midfield.

The Bulldogs have look dangerous through the same area of the ground over the last couple weeks, while they’ve also been one of the better teams at rebounding the ball from their own defensive 50 – an area that saw the Bombers undone last week.
