After their shocking starts to the year, the West Coast Eagles and Adelaide Crows have gone from premiership contenders to two of the most disappointing teams of the season, both now favoured by online bookmaker sportsbet to miss the finals.

However with Taylor Walker now injured, they have drifted from $2.02 to $2.40 over the weekend to make the finals. The news is equally grim for the West Coast Eagles, drifting from $6.00 to win the flag at the start of the season to $21 after round 5. The market also suggests their poor start could also see them miss the finals, priced at $1.85 to not make the finals after being priced at long odds of $4.00 at the start of the year.
It’s a different story for the undefeated Port Adelaide side, who have firmed from $9.00 at the start of the year to make the finals into $2.10.

In round 6 betting, Essendon are the shortest price of any team for the year to date at $1.005 to beat the Giants ($15), while Hawthorn have firmed from $3.85 to $3.60 to win the flag.
