Jack Watts is reported to have asked Melbourne to trade him to rival AFL club Port Adelaide.
The former No.1 draft pick still has two years to run on his current deal with the Demons, but found himself on the outer with coach Simon Goodwin this season.
The 26-year-old also attracted interest from Geelong and Sydney, but is set to join high-profile free agents Tom Rockliff and Steve Motlop at the Power if a trade can be brokered.
