Carlton ruckman Robert Warnock will miss the rest of the AFL season due to a shoulder injury.
The club confirmed on Wednesday that Warnock will go under the knife next week.
“Warnock’s shoulder isn’t that flash,” McKay said.
“He subluxed a few times in the Geelong game and he has been trying to rehab that the last couple of weeks without much success.”
In better news for the besieged Blues, Bryce Gibbs (back) and Michael Jamison (calf) could return after the bye.
Carlton have the weekend off and next face Port Adelaide at the MCG on Saturday week.
