Fremantle’s Michael Walters and Carlton’s Zach Tuohy have been offered reprimands by the AFL’s match-review panel.
And Essendon key forward Jake Carlisle is free to play in the round-one blockbuster against North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium on March 21 after his match-day report was withdrawn.
Carlisle was booked on Friday for kneeing Richmond’s Steve Morris during their practice match at Punt Road.
“After speaking to the umpire who laid the match-day report, viewing all available footage and receiving a medical report from the Richmond Football Club, it was the view of the panel the force used was below that required to constitute a report,” the AFL said in a statement on Monday.
Walters was charged on Monday with a level-one, rough-conduct offence against West Coast’s Brant Colledge which attracted 125 demerit points and a one-match ban.
The incident occurred during the fourth quarter of last Thursday’s practice game at Patersons Stadium.
Dockers’ forward Walters can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record with an early plea.
Tuohy has been charged with a level-two striking offence following a clash with Western Bulldogs’ forward Stewart Crameri during the first quarter of Friday’s practice game at Visy Park.
The Carlton defender can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record with an early plea.
Contact between Hawthorn’s Jordan Lewis and Melbourne’s Nathan Jones during the first quarter of Saturday’s practice game was also assessed.
Lewis punched the ball and then made high contact with Jones, but Lewis was deemed to be contesting the ball and the high contact was ruled as accidental.
