Fremantle forward Michael Walters has completed his outstanding transformation this season with a two-year AFL contract extension.
The Dockers confirmed the 21-year-old will now play for the club until at least the end of 2014.
He was banished to the WAFL last summer for being overweight, but Walters returned in round 16 and did not miss another match.
Walters kicked two goals in Fremantle’s elimination final win over Geelong and another three in the tight semi-final loss to Adelaide.
He has played 21 senior games since his 2009 debut.
“Michael’s become an important player for the team and we look forward to a successful contribution from him again in 2013,” Fremantle official Brad Lloyd said.
