Wallis re-signs with Dogs for three years

Western Bulldogs midfielder Mitch Wallis has reportedly signed a new three-year AFL contract with the club.

The sparky 22-year-old onballer, who was used mainly as a tagger last season, told News Corp Australia the trust new coach Luke Beveridge has placed in him this season has helped him rediscover his love of the game.

“From the first meeting we had he made it quite clear I wasn’t going to be playing that (run-with) role, and that I was going to be joining in on team offence and defence,” said Wallis, who has stepped up in place of the injured Tom Liberatore.

“So he was on the front foot with that straight away and I could not have been happier with that first conversation that we had.”
