Veteran Hawk on brink of trade to Demons

Four-time AFL premiership player Jordan Lewis is moving closer to completing a contentious move from Hawthorn to Melbourne.

Hawks list manager Graham Wright told reporters last week that Lewis was a contracted and required player after news of the potential move emerged following Sam Mitchell’s shock departure.

But it was widely reported on Monday morning that Hawthorn has relented, with only the details of the 30-year-old’s move to be thrashed out.
