Tigers drop Foley for Carlton AFL final

Richmond have dropped midfielder Nathan Foley for Sunday’s historic AFL elimination final against Carlton.

While there were no surprises about the inclusions for the two teams, Foley is the glaring omission.

The on-baller had played every game since returning from injury in round seven.

Chris Newman will finally play in his first final, while key forward Jack Riewoldt and Shane Edwards also return for the Tigers.

Matt White is out with a hamstring injury and Orren Stephenson was also dropped for Richmond’s first final since 2001.

The Blues will welcome back Chris Judd, Brock McLean and Heath Scotland.

They dropped Nick Duigan, David Ellard and Andrew McInnes.
