Preview:
The Swans play the Pies on Saturday, 7.40pm at ANZ Stadium. Both of these teams had a horrible start to the season, with Sydney losing to GWS and Collingwood losing to Fremantle. Both teams will be keen to make amends this week, with the Swans favourites to take the points. The ruck battle between Brodie Grundy and Mike Pyke will be especially interesting, as both teams attempt to do what they couldn’t last week – control the game.
The Magpies have a good record against the Swans at ANZ Stadium, prevailing in nine of their 12 clashes against the Swans, including a victory in round 20 last year. In fact, the Magpies have a great recent record against the Swans wherever they play, winning 11 of their past 13 games. Saying that, however, Sydney have a real chance to re-balance the books this weekend, and should be able to take the points.

News:
Shock first-round losers Sydney will regain co-captain Kieren Jack for Saturday’s ANZ Stadium clash with Collingwood.
Jack, a premiership rover in 2012, returns for the AFL’s round two after missing the Swans’ upset loss to Greater Western Sydney due to a back injury.
The Swans have also named 201cm former Tiger Tom Derickx for dumped defender Jeremy Laidler and injured big man Lewis Roberts-Thomson.
Collingwood dumped out-of-form defender Marty Clarke.
The Magpies also dropped Ben Kennedy, and beefed up their forward line with former Sydney big man Jesse White and small forward Jarryd Blair.
White will play his first game for the Magpies as he takes on his former club.
Essendon named an unchanged side on Thursday for Friday’s game against arch-rivals and defending premiers Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium.
The Hawks regain dual premiership player Cyril Rioli from suspension, while Derick Wanganeen has been omitted.
St Kilda get gun midfielders Leigh Montagna and Lenny Hayes back from suspension for Saturday’s game against the improving Greater Western Sydney at Etihad Stadium.
The Giants lose Rhys Palmer, Phil Davis and Dylan Shiel to injuries. Coach Leon Cameron has handed a debut to 75kg midfielder Josh Kelly, 19, who was No.2 pick in the 2013 draft.
North Melbourne have included back-up ruckman Daniel Currie, who’s yet to play an AFL game, in their 25-man squad for Sunday’s game against the Western Bulldogs.
North’s No.1 ruckman Todd Goldstein is in some doubt because of a bruised shoulder.
The Bulldogs named two-time club champion Ryan Griffen in their squad, after missing last week’s loss to West Coast with a back injury.
While both sides were losers in round one, North are under more pressure after being 10th last season and widely tipped to surge into the eight in 2014.
North’s fifth-year coach, Brad Scott, said last week’s loss to Essendon was the worst performance he’d seen from his side.
“(It) was uncharacteristic of the group we’ve put together over the last three, four, five years,” Scott told reporters on Thursday.
The Kangaroos have resisted pressure from media commentators to drop triple All-Australian and former Saint Nick Dal Santo and joint vice-captain Jack Ziebell from their underperforming midfield.
“We’ll look at round one as a bitterly disappointing performance, but I suspect we’ll give the majority of our midfield group, in particular, the chance to atone,” Scott said.
“We’ll be holding everyone accountable from this week onwards, that’s for sure.”
Port Adelaide regain fullback Alipate Carlile for Saturday’s showdown with the Crows at Adelaide Oval.
Star on-baller Richard Douglas returns from a groin injury for Adelaide, and the Crows have also included Brent Reilly.
Defender Rory Thompson returns for the Gold Coast, who face Fremantle at Patersons Stadium on Saturday. The Dockers have recalled Nick Suban.
Brisbane will go into Sunday’s Gabba clash with Geelong without in-form midfielder Tom Rockliff (suspended) and Ryan Harwood (shoulder).
The Cats have named Jackson Sheringham, Josh Walker and George Horlin-Smith in their 25-man squad.
Speedster Sam Blease has been named in Melbourne’s squad for Sunday’s game against West Coast at the MCG. The Eagles have included 19-year-old Brant Colledge on their seven-man bench.
