Sydney speedster Gary Rohan has been stretchered off the field with a serious ankle injury in the early stages of the Swans’ AFL clash with North Melbourne at the SCG.
Rohan booted the opening goal of the game but soon after was involved in an awkward collision in the Swans’ forward line that floored him.
He looked to be in serious pain and immediately called for assistance.
The 20-year-old suffered a minor ankle injury in his side’s final pre-season game this year.
As a result he was in doubt for the Swans’ season-opening clash with Greater Western Sydney, but was passed fit and has since been a major contributor to the Swans’ undefeated start to the season.
Sydney have activated their sub as a result, with Tony Armstrong entering the fray earlier than expected in his club debut.
