Swans’ Kennedy to play up front more

Star midfielder Josh Kennedy expects to spend more time in Sydney’s forward line in the 2016 AFL season.

While spearhead Franklin spent some time playing on the ball in Sydney’s 21-point pre-season win over Port Adelaide on Saturday, Kennedy envisages he may play alongside Franklin up front at times in the new season.

“Playing a bit up more forward I might try this year, especially with the smaller minimised rotations and not having a sub rule, which will be interesting,” said Kennedy at the Swans fan day on Sunday.
