Young Sydney defender Zak Jones’s breakthrough AFL season has been stalled by an ankle injury, which will sideline him for at least a month.
He suffered a high-ankle sprain in the game against Hawthorn at the SCG last Thursday and could miss up to six weeks.
Jones 21, started a season in the Swans side for the first time and has impressed with his dash, playing in 14 of their first 16 games.
